Livescribe is launching the Pulse Smartpen and a platform that includes the pen, desktop software and a web community. The pen is a computer in a pen that records and links audio to what users write on paper in a special notebook. The pen has a speaker and can record audio taken during a meeting, conference call, presentation. Your notes can be uploaded into their desktop software. A search functionality allows you to seach for keywords within the desktop software so that notes including searched keywords can quickly be found. The pen also features a foreign language translator, so notes you take in English can be translated to Spanish for example.
