GreenPlug

GreenPlug has developed a digital technology that allows real-time collaboration between electronic devices and their power sources. GreenPlug has created a universal power plug so that you don’t have to carry around all the various power cords associated with your computer, iPod, iPhone. GreenPlug sells a chip, called the Green Plug Universal Power Protocol, that can recognize differing power requirements so that a single power supply can be used. The power supply can be used to power any electronic device that is green talk enabled. The GreenPlug also recognizes when a device is fully charged and it then cuts the power off in an effort to avoid wasting energy by continuing to power a device that no longer needs charging.
